I began cabinet making in
1972 with the construction of raised panel walnut kitchen cabinets for a remodeling project.
For many years after that, woodworking as a hobby was sporadic for me
and I switched to restoring cars and motorcycles, likely because of raising
two sons. However, the two are not that different because each endeavor
requires diligence and attention to detail. Since 1998, woodworking has been
my primary focus.
By far, most of my furniture projects have been for my own home. Each
set of furniture that is completed winds up being designated, by my wife, to
ultimately go to a specific grandchild. Recently I have begun selling to
people that have asked for something custom made to their desires.
I would be happy to talk with you about anything that you may be
interested in having me build. I do not have an inventory of items. I prefer to
work with you to learn the specifics of what you desire such as style, size and
material. Delivery will depend on the backlog at the time.
My preference is building quality furniture from solid, rough-sawn
hardwoods but, if you have other projects in mind that require other materials
such as plywood or other laminates, I can work with those as well
I don't have a showroom, unless you consider the furniture and
accessories I have in my home as such. If you are interested in visiting to see
my workshop, furniture and other capabilities, please call me at (865)379-9317
to set up a time and to receive my address and directions.
