Arts & Crafts Clock
|
This clock is made of quarter sawn white oak and walnut. It was built as a mantle clock but we wanted to move it to a different location so I made this craftsman style shelf, also out of oak and walnut. |
Snow Sled
|
I made this sled out of white oak for my two youngest grandsons. It has a back and sides that are removable for when they get older. |
Walnut Jewelry
Box
|
This jewelry box is made of walnut with a birdseye maple top having a walnut inlay. |
Jewelry Box -
Opened
|
This view shows the two removable trays within the jewelry box. The box corners are mitered and splined and the sides are cut from a single board and matched so that the grain pattern wraps around the box. The hinges are solid brass stop-hinges that hold the lid open. |
Step Stool
|
This is a Shaker style step stool but, I made it of red oak, rather than a more typical Shaker wood, to match the bedroom set. It features all hand-cut, dovetailed joinery. |
Walnut
Humidor
|
This humidor is constructed of walnut with a raised-panel top and a Danish oil finish. |
Humidor - Opened
|
This shows the inside of the humidor which is lined with Spanish cedar and has a removable tray also of Spanish cedar. The humidor is designed with air-tight construction, mitered and splined corners, and comes with a humidifier and a hygrometer. This box has a brass mechanism to hold the lid open. |
